One of my favorite projects to date; the pumpkin tree. I got such a rush when I thought of the idea and then went on a search to find every pumpkin bucket in town to make my vision come to life. I hope you enjoy making yours too!

Supply List:
orange pumpkin buckets (I used small and large sizes)
fishing line
scissors
drill and small drill bit
ladder
a friend to hold the ladder (you can help them with their tree next)
Step #1: No rain sitting in these buckets...time to get the drill out (15 min)
I decided the best way to make sure the buckets didn't hold a bunch of rain was to drill holes in the bottom of them. So, I grabbed a drill and a drill bit and put about five smallish holes in the bottom of each bucket.
It's rained a few times and we haven't had any issues. Success.
Step #2: Tie the fishing line on (30 min)
I tied my fishing line onto each bucket handle and made several tight knots. I then cut the line off leaving about 2 feet of fishing line on the end to ensure I had enough slack to tie them on the branch at whatever height seemed best.
Step #3: Started from the bottom, now we're here (30-45 min)
I started at the bottom of the tree and worked my way up as far as my ladder would reach tying each bucket on at varying heights and areas on the tree (just like hanging ornaments). Then I got my husband (who was holding the ladder for me) to get the highest ones in places I couldn't reach. I would defiantly recommend having someone help! We took turns stepping back to see which spot needed a pumpkin and plotting about how we would get it there! We were working with a hill, delicate tree, and retaining wall.
Waaaala! You're done!
